Main Street Georgetown Business Association
Main Street Georgetown Business Association (Main Street Georgetown) is more than just a business district, it is the heart of an economically and culturally vibrant coastal community. Main Street Georgetown is a partnership of the City of Georgetown, the Georgetown Business Association, the business community, and community organizations.
Organized as a South Carolina nonprofit corporation, Main Street Georgetown is in its third year as a member of Main Street South Carolina, which is part of the National Main Street Center that was created by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
The initiative seeks to build a vibrant business community in downtown and through out the City of Georgetown. We follow the Main Street Four Point Approach® of Organization, Promotion, Design and Economic Vitality.
The goal of Main Street Georgetown is to encourage economic development and revitalization throughout the entire City. Our mission is:
“To enhance, promote and protect downtown Georgetown as a center of community activity, tourism, and economic vitality and promote City of Georgetown businesses through partnerships that ultimately make the City a better place to live and do business.”
Main Street Georgetown meets the first Tuesday of each month at 5:30pm at the Scoville Law Firm Offices (1001 Front Street). Meetings are open to the public.
Main Street Georgetown needs engaged members of the local community to volunteer for the committees which direct its activities and advance its purpose.
